Executive Director of Special Education

Barnstable Public Schools (5200 students) is seeking an experienced, innovative leader for the position of Executive Director of Special Education.
The successful candidate will lead the strategic direction for special education and oversee the development and implementation of long-term goals and objectives that aligned with the district’s vision and core values; will have experience in high level complex problem solving, building leadership capacity, managing and contributing to large scale organizational change; will engage in and contribute to senior management-level discussions concerning policy and guidance of the District. Salary range: $118,000-135,000.

  Requirements:
Candidate should have at least seven years of administrative/leadership experience in the field of Special Education; a valid Massachusetts educator license as a Special Education Administrator; Doctorate degree preferred. The successful candidate will also have demonstrated experience with the core values of Barnstable Public Schools: Commitment, Collaboration, and Community.
