The Southern Worcester County Regional School District is seeking a Director of Technology to provide leadership and assume management responsibility for the direction, coordination, integration and implementation of technology within the districts educational setting. The Director of Technology will be responsible for planning, purchasing, installing and maintaining physical technology systems of the District in a condition of excellence enabling full educational use of technology at all times in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and requirements.

•Q1- Master's Degree in Education or in a field appropriate for this position (Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Systems Management, Educational Technology disciplines), preferred.
•Q2- Certified academic or vocational teacher with knowledge of vocational education.
•Q3- CETL or CTO credentials preferred but not required.
•Q4- Minimum 5 years progressively responsible experience in the development, installation and maintenance of information systems.
•Q5- Strong understanding and experience setting up, configuring, and managing network components. Not limited to managed switches, management of multiple VLAN's on the network, manage an enterprise wireless network with multiple AP’s, manage network operating systems.
•Q6- Strong understanding and experience working with MS Active Directory, group policies, security groups, and network logon scripting.
•Q7- Setup and operational knowledge of Windows 10, Microsoft Server and Mac OS X experience/knowledge advantageous.
•Q8- Excellent troubleshooting skills ¬ability to narrow down the cause of an issue and determine a solution.
•Q9- Strong understanding and experience working with building security systems. Managing of all building security access, bell schedules and cameras.
•Q10- Demonstrated ability to communicate with and work well with all levels within an organization specifically working effectively within the culture and processes used in educational organizations.
•Q11- Highly organized with strong project management skills, and drive to meet organizational and departmental objectives? ability to manage projects on interrelated time lines.
•Q12- Knowledge of classroom technology including SmartBoards, wireless display adapters, document cameras, sound systems, projectors, cameras, etc. a strong plus.
•Q13- Knowledge of student data systems a strong plus.
•Q14- Basic understanding of HTML and website development and maintenance required within an MS O365 Domain.
•Q15- Understanding and experience working with audio-visual equipment for the purposes of presentations and video production (Graduation Ceremonies, various school functions).
•Q16- Proven ability to negotiate and work with vendors and consultants.
•Q17- Proven ability to work effectively with parent, community and staff on various organization¬ wide, procedures and Technology Advisory Committees.
•Q18 – Proven ability to organize, conduct or teach professional development sessions to staff.
•Q19- Experience supervising staff.
